Vaillant - No hot water at low flow

Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.35 PM

Hi all, I have a Vaillant Combi-boiler ecotech plus 831. Everything is working well, and it has been serviced a month ago. The pressure is in the middle of the green zone. The main issue is that I have to have a significant flow of water to trigger the ignition of the combi-boiler to generate hot water. The water flow required to trigger the ignition of the combi-boiler is too high compared to my need when I am doing the washing up. Any idea if there is a mean to trigger the hot water ignition at lower flow rate on the Vaillant combi-boiler? Thank you in advance to those who will contribute to this discussion

Put a pressure reducing valve on the cold main inlet. This will allow more dwell time in the plate to plate hot water exchanger to heat up the water passing through.
