Is it worth paying more for a Wren kitchen compared to B&Q or Wickes?
Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.35 PM
I am looking for a new kitchen. But I am not sure, if the price difference is really worth it. Wren salesperson highlighted some key differences to the competition, but is it worth it or is this something that you won't notice during normal use/lifetime of the kitchen? Don't mind paying the extra if indeed it is worth it.

You will get a better quality kitchen from an independent local supplier. Wren and B&Q are fairly similar quality wise. Shop local much better service also.

I find B&Q to be a typical budjet kitchen flat pack, 3mm back panels and thinner carcases, been a while since I've done a wickes (Travis Perkins and Benchmarx are the same all owned by TP) but I don't remember them being any better, none of which are of the quality of Wren. I fit a lot of Howdens kitchens, I would put these against Wren any time, obviously, like Wren they have different prices depending on what you would like. I fitted a kitchen earlier this year, the client had bought it from DIY Kitchens, an on line company, decent quality and very competitive on price.
Hope this helps and good luck..

Hi, I personally wouldn’t get a wren kitchen anyway. Lots of issues with customer service and parts missing. Not a bad product but not great to deal with

Don't buy a Wren kitchen. I don't know a kitchen fitter or anyone that has had one fitted that likes them. I have never tried a B&Q so I can't comment.
Are you trying to avoid Howdens?
