Bathroom Fitting

1300mm bath in 1320mm room - Will it fit?

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.56 PM

I have an extremely small bathroom and wanted to install a freestanding bath. The room itself measures 1320mm wide and the bath I've seen is 1300mm. How much space do I need either side and will it fit? :/

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Hi there, If your bathroom is All ready tiled and the space is 20mm wider than the bath defeenitly the bath will fit in position nicely. Thanks Klem Westcott Elite Builders Ltd WestcottEliteBuilders.com

Yes it will fit as long as the room is square you can build out the extra 20 mm with uvcp to cover the gap

The bath will fit yes but will you be able to fit the bath?? . It sounds like a very small room. You need to make sure you can access all the plumbing etc for maintenance. Alot of tradesmen would fit it without telling you this but if you have problems down the line then you will most definitely have to take the bath out and if the room is that small I'm guessing the toilet and possibly even the sink to be able to remove the bath again. Also cleaning around and behind the bath will be an absolute nightmare. Just stick with a standard bath with a bath panel. Save any issues later

Agree with both previous comments my only concern would be how you connect up the taps and waste as its freestanding you won’t be able to get round the sides if the pipe work comes from the floor up it’s possible And think about the waste how does that run !!.
