Kitchen mixer tap not triggering boiler after topping up system

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.56 PM

The kitchen mixer tap was working fine however the pressure in the boiler had dropped to minimum (1). We guessed this was because we'd had a new kitchen fitted with a new radiator. However after topping up the boiler the kitchen mixer now doesn't trigger the boiler. This happened last year and the diaphram was replaced so I don't think it was that. Jut weird that it was working perfectly well before the system was topped up. Thank you Edit: yes the tap was new too. The flow hasn’t stopped or changed in any way either. Just no hot water all of a sudden. Thanks

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

I would assume it’s a older Baxi 105 80 or such and if the tap as been plumbed correctly I would say the Venturi value in the right hand hydraulic block as failed which stops the actuator pin on diverter valve from triggering the boiler Any good engineer would sort it out for you

Well if it does,nt fire up when other taps are used it's look at boiler time .problem solving always hard especially without looking
