Hot water tank - no hot water
Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.55 PM
Hello. A plumber replaced some sort of pump to do with the hot water tank yesterday and now we have no hot water. The boiler, central heating and everything appears in working order so I think he forgot to, pardon the terminology, allow the water back into the tank. How do I do this? I can see 3 turning valves, 1 for hot water isolation, one for cold water isolation and another unmarked one. How should each one be set?

Ask him to come back and sort it as hes if he refuses you can take him to a small claims court and that way you can get your money back for a poor job

You need to call the plumber who worked on it yesterday, as he will have a better idea what work he has carried out and isolated certain feeds. If he is not reputable and won’t come back to sort problem, just go to mybuilder.co.uk and find a reputable plumber with decent feedback. Good luck.
