Saniflo - connecting to a septic tank

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.38 PM

I have a cabin and have installed a small kitchen and bathroom. I want to connect the waste from the kitchen and shower/basin into the Saniflo unit and from there to run the waste into a manhole leading to the septic tank. The manhole is approx' 20 m away from the Saniflo. Is it better ot use 40mm dia pvc pipe to manhole or to use connector and increase size of the wastepipe to 100mm drainage pipe like Wavin? Gradient to manhole is maybe no more than 5 deg. Reading comments only other concern might be the backflow for Saniflo to shower Hoping you can help

Why not pipe direct to soil pipe in garden ? anything you do with a saniflo is at risk of freezing if its under 850mm underground !.. id personally dig it out and do it with a 100 mm underground soil straight to manhole.

I honestly do not think that Saniflo is the right way to go for this application I would be advising you to look into a small package pump station which would be installed underground external to the property, this would then pump the waste uphill but underground to the manhole.
