Glue for towel rail on ceramic tiles
Anonymous user 16/03/2024 - 2.38 PM
Hi all, I have a new wet-room with non shiny ceramic tiles, I would like to have some 60 to 80 cm towel rail but do not wish to drill hole into the tile, Due to many bad review, I am not keen on self adhesive towel rail and suction rail have a very poor aesthetic choice Does anybody could recommend of a glue or sealant that would stick securely the towel rails to the tiles without using the wall mount screw Either a permanent glue or better a glue that is strong but can be removed if required at a later stage Thank you Denis

I would definitely not recommend any kind of adhesive based installation.
Drilling ceramic tiles is extremely easy with correct equipment, that is the only way to go.

I also would not recommend any adhesive or the self suction fittings.
As previously said if you have the correct tools e.g. Diamond tile drill bits -then this will make the job easy and hazard free

drilling is the only means of fixing to give a permanent and safe conclusion, lots of diamond drill options available to get through tiles first
then masonary drill into wall for your fixing

I would reiterate what the other fitter suggested. It would be highly unusual to mount a heated towel rail in any way other than a secure fixing. Drilling a wet room tile is simple and keeping the water tight integrity during the screw installation is equally simple. Any knowledgeable bathroom installer can achieve this for you.
