My conventional boiler keep ticking few time and start

Hi I have old conventional boiler that is ticking before it start working. It was work g perfectly alright but since couple of days it keep ticking when turned on. It ticks few time and then start working some time it works perfectlty. Any idea what's going on or solution? Thanks

Hard to say without seeing it but sounds like an ignition problem
