Electric shower with cold water tank
Anonymous user 16/03/2024 - 2.37 PM
We have recently purchased an house where most of the taps use the water from a cold water tank connected to a pump to ensure water pressure. The ensuite has an electric shower that use the water from the tank. However, the electric shower is not able to trigger the pump and in order to get water through we need to briefly open the sink tap to trigger the pump. After that the shower works with no problem and with non need to keep the sink tap open. Does anyone have an idea if this can be fixed? I have seen some electric showers with an integrated pump but i am not sure they would be suitable for the system since there is already a pump connected to the cold water tank. Any suggestion is highly appreciated. Many thanks Thanks all for the replies but unfortunately connecting to the main water supply is not an option since the water pressure is extremely low. Can anyone comment on the following electric shower that is advertised for low pressure/ tank fed systems: https://www.mirashowers.co.uk/showers/electric-showers/mira-elite-se-dual-98kw/ Many thanks
