What do you think of lead free flashing?
Anonymous user 16/03/2024 - 2.37 PM
Hi How do you feel about lead alternative flashing/aluminum flashing? Would you use this over lead and what's your experience with it? There's loads of brands out there offering these - which one should I buy and what should I look out for when buying one?
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

If you think it may get pinched then use the lead alternative easi lead is quite good along with waxoflex good thing with this type lead no scrap value however if it's out off sight try use proper lead

Just go for code 4 lead flashing get it installed properly and it will last for years and looks finished. Never used alternatives only on installation of velux windows but we always use lead as we can weld it as well. Hope this answers your questions.
