Is it worth considering an electric boiler instead of gas one?

1-bed flat. "Worcester Greenstar 28i Junior" needs to be replaced. Is it worth considering an electric boiler instead of gas one? My concern is not the energy price, but a) the efficiency (I need a rather powerful boiler so that it provides heating and also for long hot showers/bath) b) What should I do to understand if my electricity is capable of taking the load Anything else I should consider?

Not at the moment, maybe in 5 or 10 years. Gas is still the most practical, economical and environmentally friendly option of the two as of yet. Right now electric is only for those who can’t have gas.
