Best way to connect 2.5mm t&e to existing system

Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 3.17 PM

Hi. I've just built a bar outside which has a double 13a weatherproof socket powering a single fridge and sometimes the lawnmower. Other than that just some LED's. Its wired with 2.5mm t&e conduit it through the kitchen wall next to the washing machine socket. Should I wire the 2.5mm t&e into a fused 13a spur and then plug into a double socket using 13amp plug? If so what wire do I use coming out of the FCU to the double socket. Or should I have drilled through the back of the socket, through the wall, and wired the 2.5mm t&e directly to the back of the socket? Thanks Thanks Chris

Pay a registered electrician to do this for you. We simply cannot advise you to proceed any further. Regards, Carl.

Best way? Call somebody like a registered spark who actually knows what they are doing. Always fascinated me how ( or why ) people dabble with electrics when they clearly have not got a clue.

I would suggest to get a qualified electrician to eliminate the potential danger of a wrong installation.

I say the same as Carl and Deacon, it could take hours to explain everything that is wrong with this situation.
