Fitting a induction hob built in to worktop
Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 3.16 PM
I'm wanting to insert a induction hob into a worktop bench which will sit onto a free standing Rangemaster cooker that includes a gas hob all of which sits into a purpose built alcove..As I'm in my late seventies and now need everything to be easy cleaning and operation plus the gas hob is bottled and not convenient. I have only used the oven twice in its 5 year life, as I use my multi function Microwave cos it's eye level and quick..the Oven and hob will be disconnected.. So I thought if I remove the cast pan holders and back vertical splashback, I could have a beach built -to sit slightly above the top of the stove- that the induction hob dropped into.My son could do this carpentry work as that's his trade and is election friend could do the electrical bit. The question is, I keep reading about clearance below the induction hob and above the Oven, two of them which as I said will be disconnected, so no heat source.. Please help I keep being put off..Jean
