Repairing the wall behind removed skirtings

Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 3.16 PM

Hello, so I am an amateur DIYer and I am removing my old skirting boards in preparation for new flooring and skirting to be laid, however when removing it is pulling some of the old plaster away in patches and leaving quite deep gaps to the block work any ideas how I can fix this? I have tried looking online but I am finding myself going round in circles now so any help and direction will be hugely appreciated

Bond the area and leave it a day before you fix to it

I would recommend bonding out the area behind the skirting boards, which would give the carpenters a clean surface to work with.
