Considerable amount of Condensation dripping from Roof and Windows

Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.34 PM

We have recently had a conservatory built and we are getting a lot of condensation. It’s been plastered next week, once dried out would this help with the condensation? The only way to get rid of it is by having the doors and windows open, which we can’t do in the freezing winter. We want to use this room all year round. The conservatory company have not put any other ventilation in place, should they have done? Any feedback and advice appreciated.

Your base and brickwork contain a lot of water at point of installation (cement and concrete are pourable!) Plenty of ventilation and heating in there to let it dry out over time. It will take longer in the colder weather but stick at it!

Hiya, what you've got there is the moisture from the brickwork and the concrete floor evaporating into the structure. Keep the windows open on the night latch setting Plenty of ventilation That will do the trick after a while👍
