How to price new doors

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.55 PM

hi I'm new to carpentry and wondering how much i should charge a customer on top for a new door at trade prices. How much extra % as i want to make something from it but not to rip someone off? Thanks

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Nothing! I don’t agree with marking up things and having a special trade price! You should have your labour rate and that can take into account measuring, collecting, delivery etc. But marking up products is likely to cause problems, If the client saw the original price. Be honest and you will get repeat orders and work on a good reputation.

Never put money on top of the materials just charge for fuel and time to get them ,if you do and the customer finds out you won’t get work of them again or there friends

Don’t charge them any extra for materials. If you want repeat custom, honesty is the best policy.
