concrete subfloor below 100mm insulation for UFH is uneven by 1cm at few places

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.55 PM

concrete subfloor below 100mm insulation for UFH is uneven by 3 or 4cm at few places. We will be laying pipes and screed on the top of insulation. Would screed push insulation firm against concrete or there would be void underneath. I am concerned if screed does not push insulation to concrete, can this cause tiles to subside over time? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks R, I could not find reply link so decided to change the question. We are using 100mm insulation and 65mm screed on insulation. The floor below insulation is uneven by good 3 or 4 cms.

Yes the waight of the screed will hold insulation down. But for good measure why don't you fill the gap below with sand.

I would suggest laying a self leveling coat down first.
