Paint over thick artex

What paint do I need to paint over thick artex? & do I use a roller or a brush? Ant tips/ tricks please?

You can roll it but you will need a roller with a thicker nap than if you were rolling a flat surface. Thickness of paint is not a consideration but full dustsheeting etc of all surfaces is

To retain artex effect repaint Using roller application. Alternatively uni bond and reskim With plaster for a smooth finish.
