Windows & Door fitting

Loose bricks round upvc doors after replacing windows with doors

Anonymous user 16/03/2024 - 2.37 PM

Hi,Advice needed please,I have had a FENSA guy replace a pair of three panel upvc windows on either side of my house so that each has lost 2 panels and gained a door in their place. There are quite a few loose bricks /cracked motar ,about 10 cut ones down the sides in total, that upon inspection I am not happy about and one has been siliconed back in!Surely this should be sorted out by the fitter who does not seem to think its his problem, they were 100% before. Any ideas as to how to get it finished properly? As the job is awaiting some slabs full payment has not been made. Also,do I get the Fensa certificate and then pay ?Thanks"

Number of time bricks get loose and normally it’s not much issue unless they are really loose . As other person mention still they must do it nice finish and good pointing (not silicone) In terms of Fensa As our end supply and fit windows ltd we ask all the payment to be clear as Fensa doesn’t want to get involve before hand . Otherwise they will be getting thousand extra calls most of the day . Hope it helps
