Splashes of sealer and distemper on newly plastered walls
Anonymous user 16/03/2024 - 2.36 PM
Help!! I had my bedroom walls plastered - no problem. I was then told that the ceiling had distemper on it and it needed sealing, i did this with a sealer and it seems ok. However, as it was a really watery solution some of it has splashed the newly plastered walls which is basically a mix of sealer and distemper as obviously the distemper was coming off on the brush and so the solution must have contained distemper as a result of dipping the brush in. So now that ive tried to cover the splashes in emulsion the splashes aren't covering, you can see them through the paint. I was told to put on Zinseer one coat which i have patch tested, it kind of covers but not fully - im wondering if there is a better product or should i sand down the walls and PVA them??? Cant believe ive managed to cock this up. Any advice would be appreciated. Next time will get the professionals in.
