Waterproof plasterboard for external

Hi, hope someone can help me. I have some fitted downlights on the outside of my summerhouse, under the roof lip (forgot the name lol), however the builder used plasterboard, which I know is a no-no. However, is there anyway I can waterproof this plasterboard, maybe with a tanking kit? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

You ca use a foil membrane as insolation and a foil back plastering board

No you can't use plaster board outside but you can use a cement base board like hardiebacker

i would use a piece of soffit board for the underside if i was doing the job
