where to buy good wall paper from

Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 3.16 PM

hello, I want to get some good quality wall paper for my kitchen. I'm after something special. Already tried the local diy stores. any recommendations for a good wall paper shop?? I have a thin crack in the wall as well. It keeps reappearing.. even afer trying filler. any advice on how to cover this up with wall paper? do i need to use an "base" wall paper.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

your local decorators merchant crown decorating centre should have books and books of wall coverings, i have found homebase to be good as well, try and keep away from online wallcoverings.

You will want to Wallrock fibre liner on first to hide the cracks. If you are looking for decorative wallpaper it is up-to you. Anaglypta is the most well known and trusted. If you’re looking for something special you could try hand painted wall paper, it normally costs around £1000per roll. They can be purchased in a variety of places, but it is best to have a look online for an artistic style that suits your kitchen. I personally don’t think wallpaper in kitchens and bathrooms is a good idea, but plenty of people do it.

Wallrock as above for the crack. Nice to hear another tradesman recvomend it for once it really is that good, and is excellent for papering over. Good independant decorators merchant will have shelves of wallpaper book samples
