Opening up a Fireplace

Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 3.16 PM

Hi there, I have removed a Gas Fire. Capped off the supply etc. I would like to organise for someone from My Builder to carry out the project. However, I'm not sure what trade it is under? I need it opening up to a bigger aperture. Replastering and four tiles laying. I have notified my local Building Control also so that has been prepared. If anyone could advise I would really appreciate it. Thank you.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

A skilled builder/carpenter would be perfectly capable of doing this ,iv opened up plenty of fire places and makes a great vocal point ,it’s the finishing that will make it pop oak lintel etc
