The right underlay for engineered wood flooring on concrete
Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 3.15 PM
I'm planning on fitting 20sqm of engineered flooring on a concrete sub floor. The 20mm flooring has 6mm of wood veneer and is microbeveled. I'm planning to sand and finish after laying. I've heard that there is a special wool underlay (Peak Oak Sheeps Wool Floor Insulation/Underlay) I wonder if anyone knows about this or has other advice?

Sonic gold underlay would be what u need to use as it has a Dpm build into it,and if the concrete floor has any slight imperfections
Using this underlay ya will not have problems with imperfections in concrete floor.
Just make sure u lay the underlay gold side down on the concrete
Cheers

No underlay. Glue directly to concrete.
