Gap at the top of the door
Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 3.15 PM
Hi, I've recently moved in my new house. After a few weeks living in I discover a slight gap between the door and the frame of the French window. The gap is between the 2 sliding doors and the frame. It looks like the door is too short as the door barely come in contact with the seal. I believe this is likely to create a little draught and therefore I would like to block it. Any idea how to do it?

The door could need repacking as previous answer given.
But it could be that it has dropped and needs readjusting.
Really looking at it is best way to tell as if it’s to short then you will have gap on bottom

On most patio doors you can adjust them from the bottom

Over time, the weight of the door will settle, and require adjustment. This is done at the bottom of the door, usually there is a plastic cap covering the adjustment screw. This can be carried out while the door is in situ, but its far easier if you lift the door off.

The doors need toe and healing. Make sure you get a good fitter as the glass will break
