No Ridge Roll on our Dry Ridge Systen

Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.33 PM

Water was dripping in through our roof, into our flue joint and tripped the electrics as it got into our boiler. The flue has been checked and flashing is fine. Job passed to a roofer. A roofer have been round and advised that our dry ridge system has no ridge roll... which I would argue is what makes up the majority of the system? We are now worried we could have a problem all the way along the roof. We are now in the process of claiming through NHBC (aware of the minimum claim value).. as surely this is a major installation issue of half the system is missing? Any help or advice appreciated. Our house was built 2013 but assume the building regs haven’t changed with regards the ridge roll in that time?

Dry ridge come in a kit and the roll is designed to keep water out. Also for ventilation for roof space. And should have been installed.
