Is this the correct way to seal a copper pipe?

https://www.instagram.com/p/CGNJMKsnF9x/?utm_source=ig_web_button_share_sheet Is this the correct way to seal a copper pipe through flat roof? Just just rubbery seal of sort, without a collar. To BT Roofing service, yes it's the gas pipe to the boiler through garage roof where the gas meter is, the same seal is used for the condensation pipe as well.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

No it’s not correct, it should have a lead slate with EDPM rubber sleeve. The pipe is too small to attempt to wrap bitumen felt membrane round to seal, it’s looks like they used a highbred polymer sealant to seal around the pipe in due time that will leak. I can’t help but think why is the copper pipe coming out the flat roof was there not a better way round this? It looks like the sort of copper pipe used for your radios & boilers etc. Regards Frankie BT Roofing Services
