Tall radiator valves

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.54 PM

Hi, Total noob question. We are wanting to buy one of those tall (1800mm) anthracite radiators. Pretty much all of the pictures show them with the 90 degree fitments that go into the wall (no downpour). Am I correct in thinking that I can just buy straight through valves and plumb it into the floor? Or, do they come supplied with the 90 degree valves and have to be plumbed into a wall? In essence, can I fit whatever I want to the bottom of the radiator? Sorry for the complete novice question - hope someone can give me an answer. Thanks. Edit - thanks for the replies. I wanted to know if instead of fitting an angled valve, I can fit a straight through valve - in essence, do all valves have the same tappings, and I can go to B&Q and buy whatever I want, or are they designed to only work with angled valves that have the 90 degree bend in them?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

most of these rads have the same tapping's as ordinary rads so you will need ordinary rad valves they are not like towel rails with tappings on the bottom.
