Bathroom Fitting

New extended bathroom + plumbing for utility appliances

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.53 PM

Currently we have a seperate toilet to the bathroom (next to each other). We want to knock the wall down between the two but also make the bathroom bigger by extending into the hall and hall cupboard, with a new bathroom fitted. On the other side of the wall to the current toilet (this wall will stay up) is where we want to install a washer/dryer in the kitchen as currently there is only a dishwasher installed. Could we hire a tradesman to do all the work - knocking down and putting the new walls up, plumbing the new bathroom and utility appliances on the other side of the wall and fitting the bathroom? or do these need to be listed as seperate jobs?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

This is a relatively simple job for a multi skilled tradesman to undertake. We carry out this type of work often. The only thing to consider is whether the wall to be removed is a load baring wall. This wouldn’t cause too much of a problem, but will require some structural works by means of installing a rolled steel joist.
