Plaster lat celling taking weight of 4-6kg

Will a plaster latt celling take the weight of a hanging light fitting aortic 1m from celling and between 4-6kg

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

No. It would be too heavy for the ceiling. You would either need to make use of a floor or ceiling joist to secure the light fitting, or, if it is located between joists, put a nogging between the joists firmly secured and attach the light fitting to the the nogging.

The ceiling would need to have a timber put in to support the lamp as lathe and plaster will not support great weights
