leak from under the pitch/flat roof meeting point in loft room

I have loft converted back in 1995 with flat roof on top and pitch roof at front. Flat roof had felt all worn out and sides were really bad. Never had an issue and no leaks. Just thought, let me get flat roof felt replaced. So, Last Year hired a roofer (roofco home improvements) from checkatrade with good reviews to replace felt from my flat roof and leave pitch tiles as it is. He came and replace it..but never gave me picture of flat roof after he did the job. 2 months after, due heavy rain, roof started leaking below joints of pitch and flat roof meeting point. Called him and asked about leak. He was angry as i asked him to come down in evening when raining and leaking. He told me on the phone that his job was perfect but leak is due to crack in ridge. I told him no leak before his work. Anyway, he came down next morning while i was at work, he was angry, got up and did something and went away. It stopped leaking for a year. Leak started again now. Surely he must have done something wrong but his ego did not accept his mistake. He gave me 10 years guarantee but then found out that he has no company and he has now changed his career. No wonder why he did not progress his career as roofer. So i am stuck. Then I got my builder come around and he checked and took pics. See pics attached. Looking at picture, felt should be going under the ridge rather just little above the ridge. So he kept felt outside, did not put under the ridge and used some sort of chemical to seal? i think its cowboy job. He should have removed ridge, put felt and then put ridges back (new one). Any experienced roofer here who can give me impartial advice of what the roofer did, right or wrong and next step please? I will really appreciate your time in reading this and helping me out. sorry, just realized that i have no option to upload pic. anyone know how to put pics here?
