Insulating concrete ceiling of utility room
Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.36 PM
I’m insulating my 1950’s concrete ceiling utility room. Was going to batten out ceiling , then use celotex between joists & plasterboard & skim. My question is do I need to leave some form of gap for airflow or push the celotex tight up against the concrete ceiling? Thanks in advance👍

You need to maintain a gap for airflow. You should fix the celotex flush with the face of the batten and leave at least 50mm free airflow space between the celotex and concrete ceiling
