hi Jambi,
A few factors here may help you decide.
Electric plinth/kickspace
Pros
Easy to install (low install costs)
Cost of heaters to purchase relatively cheap.
Cons
Inefficient way to heat space
Slight potential fire risk
Maintenance required (moving parts fan heater element etc)
Electric underfloor heating
Pros
Energy efficient
Zero maintenance required
Warm floor under foot (especially nice on a winters day)
Preferential improvement on resale value of home.
Cons
Upfront installation cost
Impact on installing floor (ripping up existing floor channelling in supply for timer and floor stat)
There you have it. Personally i would go for underfloor heating every time, but as above you have to factor in how long you're staying, i would regard underfloor heating as a longer term investment for yourself due to the potential initial cost and impact.
I hope that's helped you decide!
Best Regards
Alan
