Trying to decide between electric underfloor heating or an electric plinth/kickspace heater in a small kitchen. Please help, any advice?

hi Jambi, A few factors here may help you decide. Electric plinth/kickspace Pros Easy to install (low install costs) Cost of heaters to purchase relatively cheap. Cons Inefficient way to heat space Slight potential fire risk Maintenance required (moving parts fan heater element etc) Electric underfloor heating Pros Energy efficient Zero maintenance required Warm floor under foot (especially nice on a winters day) Preferential improvement on resale value of home. Cons Upfront installation cost Impact on installing floor (ripping up existing floor channelling in supply for timer and floor stat) There you have it. Personally i would go for underfloor heating every time, but as above you have to factor in how long you're staying, i would regard underfloor heating as a longer term investment for yourself due to the potential initial cost and impact.
