Boiler losing pressure after we turn the heating off

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.35 PM

We've got an issue where our boiler pressure drops overnight after the heating is turned off. It sits on the 1.5 gauge all day, then when the heating goes on, jumps up to around 2. Then overnight seems to drop right down to just above zero making the boiler have an error light and no hot water until we reset and top up the pressure. The pressure only drops after using the heating, not from using the shower, taps etc. We can't see any leaks anywhere and have checked all the radiators. We recently had our boiler serviced and were told there were no issues, and now this happens.

Firstly it’s nothing to do with the service there’s only 3 reasons for the pressure to drop 1) leak on system more so when hot 2) expansion vessel Is faulty 3) The discharge valve is faulty Check them as it will be one off them or 2 and 3 together

Disagree that has nothing with service as during this one, the static pressure of the expansion vessel should be checked and adjusted if necessary. Please, observe is there any water dripping from blow off pipe outside. Also check is there any leaks signs at any of the radiator valves
