glass hob repair

Anonymous user 16/03/2024 - 2.36 PM

hi, my glass hob top has chipped in the corner. It does not affect the use of my cooker and its not a part of the hob that heats up. For cosmetic purposes i would like this small area fixed. Is this something that can be done? as I really don't want to replace the whole hob.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

There are specialists who use mixtures of resins to repair any surface. One of them will fix it. google surface repairs. If they can’t do it. You can buy replacement glass but it’s normally nearly as much as a new hob. When you add in labour normally even more as it’s a complex job compared to just swapping it. It is more environmentally friendly though.
