Outdoor sheet for use in the garden

Anonymous user 16/03/2024 - 2.36 PM

Hi, What is the best sheet or screen to use in the garden, one that doesn't expand or contract in differing weather conditions? I am creating a free standing timber frame, and I would like to attach a coloured grey sheet to it, and then will install a 5mm thickness decorative design (one that has patterned holes) so you can see the colour of the sheet behind it. I am not sure whether to go for perspex, polycarbonate, acrylic, HPL etc... i need it in grey and for the colour to be flat (i.e. not see through)

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Maybe the best and cheapest way is to use a product called hygiene clad which comes in 8x4 sheets and is glossy one side and matt on the other which can be purchased from any window or fascias company at around £30 per sheet, as you will be just using it as a backing you can purchase a decent undercoat and top coat to paint the matt side of the cladding whichever colour you wish hope this helps

Perspex is the most common material in shop signage. This is testament to its durability in the elements. It has skyrocketed in price due to the current situation though.
