Radiators not completely attached to wall brackets

Anonymous user 16/03/2024 - 2.35 PM

Hello, I recently had my radiators re-connected after decorating work by a GCH eng I have now noticed that part of the radiator is popping outwards upon closer inspection I noticed that part is not hanging on the wall bracket but instead pushing up against it, another radiator has the same problem What would be your advice in this situation, I have not yet paid the invoice due to chips, dents and scrtach marks on the other radiators Is it possible to re-hang the radiators correctly without draining the system Thanks for your advice

Yes the radiators can be hung while the system is full. Isolate the trv and lockshield. Drain only the radiator then your free to re-hang radiator correctly

Yes it's possible to drain an individual radiator to remove and re-hang. Its also possible to turn off both end valves loosen the radiator nuts and lift and lay on the floor while you adjust the brackets to where required and then lift up and drop on the brackets. Make sure to put a old towel underneath to catch any drips.
