What Sink Tap to Dishwasher adaptor do I need?

Hello, I have bought a compact dishwasher that is to be connected to my kitchen tap to work. There is a 3/4 inch hose that is used. However the hose does not connect to my sink tap. I cannot tell what tap it is (it has an octagon shaping). I can send pictures if needed. Best,

Hello,
You need to cut into your existing pipe work and put what we call a 3/4 isolation valve (dishwasher valve). Then you will also need a P-trap with a spigot on it for the drain pipe. Hope this helps. Thank you
