Central Heating

Logic c30 Combi Always running/radiator icon always showing

Anonymous user 16/03/2024 - 2.35 PM

Looking for some advice re whether this is normal or not. I have a Logic Combi C30 boiler. Even when the zones on the heating timer are all set to off the radiator (central heating icon) still shows up on the boiler and there is a constant audible noise as if a pump is running. The burner doesn't seem to obviously run although as far as I can see the boiler temperature always sits around 50 degrees even if it hasn't been used for hours so I wonder if the burner is coming on intermittently for short periods. The preheat water feature is always off. Is the water pump always supposed to run/radiator icon always supposed to show on the boiler lcd whether the central heating is actually on or not? Any help much appreciated

Pre heat has nothing to do with heating Sounds like it’s wired incorrect

Incorrectly wired because heating is on permanently, the reason why the boiler isn't fired all the time is because no heat is going away from the boiler because the zone valve is shut.

Sounds like an external control problem or the link is still in the connector block
