Gap between middle of patio doors?!

Anonymous user 16/03/2024 - 2.35 PM

Could someone help me please? I have new upvc patio doors in my garden room. The main opening door I can see sunlight through at the bottom quarter of the door through the seal where to door shuts not the hinge side??? Can anyone help with how to adjust please? Thank you **These are French doors on hinges not sliding patio doors. Just a x2 door system

This can be adjusted on the hinges and if possible. You will be able to do this with an Allen key but I couldn't tell you an exact location as different profiles have different adjustment locations. But the bottom needs taking closer, so Allen key would need winding clockwise. The top taking away, so the Allen key would need winding Anti-Clockwise.

Great answer BUT sometimes hinge adjustments are not the exact remedy and it may need toe and healing or in some cases completely resetting Hope this helps

The previous answer correctly covers all of the points re adjustment, but if your French Doors are new they must be guaranteed by the supplier and adjusted accordingly for you. If you had an independent installer fit them for you then he too should return and adjust them for you. Both of the above should be free of charge.

Hi, adjusting the hinges works with small gaps but the door may have to be reset as its come out of square. You can try and adjust the hinges yourself but get the guys who fitted them to reset the doors square as mentioned in another comment heel and toeing...good luck
