How do I find out if my old floor tiles contain asbestos?

Anonymous user 16/03/2024 - 2.35 PM

Our house was built in 1955 and I have been advised that the kitchen floor tiles may contain asbestos? How do I find out, and how do I remove them if they do?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

You will need to get an asbestos qualified person to come and take a sample of one of the tiles or leave them there and tile over them. Asbestos is only dangerous when moved

When asbestos is suspected you have to use a specialist asbestos removal company. This could prove to be quite expensive.
