Hi, i live in a 3rd floor brick built 1970's flat. There are 6 floors with 2 flats to a floor. I would like to have a fitted overbed unit and wardrobes floor to ceiling along the outside wall. Would this cause problems with damp, mould etc

I would build the units in box form and this way nothing will be touching any outside walls

If your room is free from damp a frame system can be a good option, this stop your walls from being in closed ,covered and let air flow freely we have never had a problem with this type of wardrobe

It should be ok if they are a new block of flats to go against outside wall and if your on first or second floor damp should not travel up that far anyway.

If you batten behind the units and leave some room for airflow then you can rest assured it won’t be a problem
