Blocked toilet with tons of toilet paper it seems

Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 3.14 PM

Hi, I have a toilet blocked with kids putting down too much paper. I have tried using plunger, no help. I have tried putting in litres of bleach, no help. I have tried putting in bucket of water after bucket of water, no help. I was told here by another plumber to fill the toilet with cola, no help. I was told vinegar, no help. I just want to know if it is safe to use something stronger like drain cleaneer. Am single mom who just lost her job. So no money for plumber.Am having to go to food banks for food for the kids. Thank you all in advance for any help you may be able to give me. Toilet is upstairs with the drain running across my kitchen roof and down at the end. And I have put on a pair of gloves and felt around the bend but can not feel anything. If I leave the toilet and not use it for a couple of weeks and then flush it, first flush goes down quickly. Second flush backs up. Before anyone thinks how you cannot use the toilet for 2 weeks, I have a second toilet. Someone please please please HELP.

In the past when something like this happens, I'm afraid you may have to get some hand protection on, it may be that something else has gone down like a toilet freshener. Maybe something plastic and is caught in the bend of the toilet. It's unusual for just toilet paper to be the sole source of the blockage.
