Why does my NEST Thermostat not communicate with my Boiler?

My NEST thermostat does not appear to communicate with my boiler, when I request the heating to be increased it doesn't respond at all, from what i can see. I have a Vaillant EcoTec Pro 24. The installer left the timer module which was installed with the Boiler within it, I'm not too sure if this is also causing a clash? Thanks in-advance for your help

There are many possible causes of this, most of them very simple and easy to fix. If you call the installer they may be able to fault find/troubleshoot over the phone with you for some of the possibilities. Failing that they may have to come back and see if they can remedy the issue. After which, you should insist on a working demonstration of the thermostat to demonstrate it’s functionality is correct.
