Accidentally Cut lawn mower cord

Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.32 PM

I cut my lawn mower cord whilest mowing the lawn (yes I know, stupid thing to do) and wanted to know if there is an easy way to temporarily sort this? Its a bosch rotak 400 model and is a single cut that was made. I assume if I just re-connect to two small wires inside, and tape it up, that could work. But wanted to know if there is a better way. Thank you

You’d be best to Install a proper connector unit like the one on the link. There is also a permanent waterproof connector available but these are a little more fiddly to fit. https://www.screwfix.com/p/masterplug-orange-connector-2-pin/46232

Safest way would be to replace the entire length of flex. Any joint is going to be a weak point.

I would strongly suggest contacting your local electrician to have a look & repair your appliance
