Can you switch over my electric cooker to gas

I want to know if I can but in my own gas cooker I was told if you have had a gas cooker fitted in the past it his possible to just switch them over I got the bayonet already in place my brother try to just screw in the second hand gas c

As long as you have a gas supply in place then yes you can. You should be gas safe registered to fit this appliance and as it is second hand you need to ensure that it is suitable and you have the instructions. The cooker hose must also be checked to ensure it is suitable. The best advice is get someone gas safe registered - this should cost about £60

If the flexible pipes are the same fitted on both Then you can disconnect from the bayonet fitting but if they are to difference fittings that don’t fit your existing bayonet fitting them you can’t ,as I would always advise to have a gas safe Enginner do this for you as sometimes the existing flexible hose do wear and can leak,as this way the gas engineer will check on a tightness test as some time’s the existing bayonet fitting also leak ,so best advise get a gas safe registed gas Engering to carry out these works
