Bathroom Fitting

Order of jobs when fitting bathroom

Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.32 PM

Looking to have new bathroom fitted and tilling. I have a tiler lined up already but I was wondering what order would the bathroom be fitted. Jobs to be done would be ripping out existing bathroom and tiles, new bathroom suite fitted with shower bath, basin and toilet then tilling. I'm no plumber or tiler so not sure what would be done first. Thanks in advance for any advice

I would advise tiling as much as you can before installing the suite. Tiling under the toilet and sink ensures more protection and a better seal.

First time must be started with the removal of the sanitary parts, then the tiles, pop in new pipework if required, the walls and floors are straightened, pop in shower tray the new tiles and at the end the basin and toilet

First you must remove the sanitary and tiles. Do the first fix of plumbing. Then check the walls, if the walls are weak you must replace them with a cement board. After that fit the bath (or shower tray), seal it (so there won't be any leakages). Start laying the tiles, you can either tile the whole bathroom or only tile around the bath and half of the wall where the sink and toilet are. Also do the silicon around the bath, around the basin and around the toilet
