Stain on bathroom floor possible leak?

I have a yellow stain that has appeared on the lino on my bathroom floor, about 3 weeks ago. It is about the size of my hand and about 3 inches away from the toilet.(Towards the back) I have tried to clean it by vinegar/bleach/ steam but nothing will remove it. Does this sound like a possible toilet or pipe leak or a problem with the flooring. I don't want to start to arrange for new flooring, if theres a bigger problem. Also sorry for my ignorance wouldn't it be right next to the toilet, if the problem was the toilet itself? Would appreciate guidance on the best way to find out the problem. Thank you

Its normally a sign off a leak yes if its up stairs it would also normally mark ceiling beneath but iff ground floor only floor if you don't want to ripp up floor till your sure mark the size of stain now and keep checking over couple days or q week if gets bigger defiantly q leak qnd will need attention.if up stairs can be done from under neath.also check there's no movement from toilet and the rubber seal connecting toilet to waste is all tight

Yes it could possibly be a leak or condensation if you put a peice of kitchen roll where the stain is then flush to toilet several times you should be able to see if the kitchen roll gets wet If you look at the cistwrn the ceramic will be wet if incoming water is colder than room temperature so you would see dripping Check where supy pipe entered cistern it will either be bottom entry or side entry if thats dry lossibly a weep from the soul pipe pan connector good luck
