How to get rid of water marks showing after mistpaint?

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.53 PM

The walls are freshly plastered (3 weeks ago), and have done the mistpaint. I've found that in some sections of the walls where it's been mistpainted it's showing water drip marks (presumably from where the water was put on the wall when being plastered or pva). I've tried sanding over but the marks aren't budging. Is there something to do in advance of topcoat or do topcoat and see if they disappear? Thanks!

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Hi I believe the drip marks would be pva and should cover nicely with the top coat once dried.

did you seal the walls with pva? if so pva is not a good sealer for painting, plaster sealer then 2 coats of your choice.
