Can I run pipes from my existing water and waste pipes

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.35 PM

This is for a kitchen extension at the back of the house. Currently the kitchen is at the front and we think there is water and waste pipes running down inside the living room (the middle of the house). Could we run pipes from these to the new kitchen at the back of the house?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

yes this should not be a problem, but if you are worried about it get a qualified plumber to advise you.

It's unusual for hot, cold and waste pipes to be in the living room area, the most obvious reason for pipes being in a living room area would be relating to central heating pipes, I would advise you to get a qualified plumber via my builder to advise and quote you

As above this shouldn’t be a problem. Though if you are a novice I’d always advise getting a plumber in to do it.
